That tour is designed for foodies who want to taste the best of our region and explore the local mediterreanean way of life. Along the day you will taste typical biscuits and sweets, sample fresh oysters, local cheeses, olives and tapenades. You will also stop for lunch in the beautiful medieval town of Pézenas and finish the day hosted by your guide at his winery to anjoy his wines paired with local cheeses in front of the vineyards.
Start the tour at 9am from the Esplanade de l'europe in Montpellier with your guide and take off for a ride to the Thau Lagoon and its beautiful landscapes bathed in the mediterrenaean light. Start with a visit of a local biscuits and madeleines factory. You will then head to an oyster farm nestled along the lagoon. Learn all about this production and taste the oysters with a glass of the typical white wine of the area: the famous Picpoul de Pinet!
For lunch, your guide will bring you to Pézenas. Free time to eat, stroll the narrow streets of the old town center, admire the 17th and 18th century mansions and visit the small art craft boutiques.
In the afternoon our guide will then bring you to his home settled in an old wine estate. Taste his wines in front of the vineyard paired with local cheeses, olives and tapenade.
Return to Montpellier around 5pm
