Built at the end of the 17th century, Flaugergues is one of those houses called "follies" built in and around Montpellier.
Henri and Brigitte de Colbert are happy to welcome you to share the history of a family, their passion for beauty, goodness, the vine and the arts.
The tours offered are adapted to families and children and to a particular theme on request.
Passed down from generation to generation, Flaugergues reflects the lifestyle of the Montpellier notables of the time.
The castle is still lived in by Henri and Brigitte de Colbert and their children. They will let you discover their 18th century furniture for your pleasure. You will also find Brussels tapestries, paintings, magnificent porcelain, libraries and archives...
The French gardens, the English park, the olive groves, will reveal their secrets on about 5 hectares.
A family visit to discover Flaugergues.
In the castle as well as in the park, the little explorers will be happy to explore.
Going from discovery to discovery: ginkgo biloba, osage orange tree, sequoia, bamboo-palm tree... No more doubts about the meaning of the word camel or madness in architecture and the zograscope and the bidodecahedron will have no more secrets either.
And at the end of the visit, while the grown-ups get to know the wines of the estate, the children enjoy a fruit juice.
The visit to the castle includes: a guided tour of the interior of the castle, a free visit of the gardens either with an audioguide or with a paper guide and wine tasting.
